FAQ | Getting A Massage

FAQ | Payments & Appt.

Where will my massage session take place?

Your massage session will take place in a 100% private and secure professional setting. We use heavy duty American made massage tables with no wobbles or squeaks. Custom Vibro-acoustic tables ensure you not only hear the music but feel it as well providing the most entrancing experience.

Will I have to get undressed?

Your therapist will ask you to dress down to where you are comfortable and most customers prefer to wear underwear or swimsuit/shorts attire. Women usually remove their bra and/or straps. You will also be properly draped during the entire session leaving only the areas being worked on exposed. Your therapist will leave the room while you undress, relax onto the table, and cover yourself with ultra-soft natural linens. Our 25 minute focused massage only requires unclothing specific body areas.

What should I do during the massage?

Relax, we’ll do all the work. It’s your time to unwind and allow your mind to drift while we gradually coax your muscles into submission.

How will I feel after the massage?

Most people feel very relaxed even into a mild euphoric state. Some experience freedom from long-term aches and pains developed from tension or repetitive activity. After an initial period of feeling slowed down, people often experience increased energy, heightened awareness, and greater productivity which can last for days. Since toxins are released from your soft tissues during a massage, it is recommended you drink plenty of water following your massage.

How often should I get a massage?

This really depends on the clients needs. Many clients that can manage their own tension & daily stress levels may get a massage a few times per year or on special occasions. For others seeking to gain the true therapeutic and long lasting benefits of massage therapy we recommend a baseline of  1-2 visits a week for 2-4 weeks then stretched out to every two weeks or once a month to maintain the positive changes made.

What is the difference between a Relaxation Massage and a Therapeutic Massage?

A Relaxation massage is often a baseline for clients . It includes the classic Swedish massage and in general, uses lighter pressure with broad flowing strokes to completely relax the muscles from head to toe. Our Therapeutic massage allows you to have a completely tailored massage experience and is the chosen massage for those preferring deep tissue or therapeutic muscle work. These massages use firmer pressure and utilize a set of specialized skills from your therapist.

What are the benefits of massage?

Massage can help release chronic muscular tension and pain, improve circulation, increase joint flexibility, reduce mental and physical fatigue and stress, promote faster healing of injured muscular tissue, improve posture, and reduce blood pressure. Massage is also known to promote better sleep, improve concentration, reduce anxiety and create an overall sense of well-being.

Are there any medical conditions that would make massage inadvisable?

Yes. We ask that that you inform the therapist of any health problems, injuries, or sensitive areas to avoid.  We have a Chiropractic Physician on staff to address any specific medical concerns.
